Members whiteeugene Posted January 29, 2013 Members Report Posted January 29, 2013 Like the carving, but it looks like you have the same problem I do I get i to much of a hurry and don't wait for the dye to dry. What I started doing was to put 2 or 3 coats of finish on the outside areas it acts as before I dye it acts as a resist that way if I do get dye on the outside boarders it comes. Doug Quote
Steve Barbour Posted January 29, 2013 Author Report Posted January 29, 2013 Thanks Doug, the borders really burnished heavily on this leather but they appear darker in this photo than they really are. I didn't use any dye, just oil, resist, and antique. It really makes sense to put more layers of resist on the borders, I will try that on the next one. Quote
