Geowing Report post Posted February 12, 2013 Hello all. My name is George Wingo. I am medically retired at the age of 47 and need something to keep my hands and mind busy and off my health issues. I was in the Army for 8 years and got caught up in the draw down after Desert Storm. I was a master electrician after getting out of the army for 15 years. After 6 years of chemo and one pacemaker later I am not the man I used to be. However my brain still works as hard as it always did. I have decided to get into leather working and have taken a few classes through Tandy Leather. I want to learn more and more and more. I have a few basic tools and have done a few small projects. I truly enjoy working in this trade. I am not looking for hand outs but a hand up would be nice. If you have any knowledge that you think would be good for me to know please contact me and feel free to tell me anything you are willing to part with. I love to learn new things and am not afraid to try anything. The teacher of my class told me I have natural talent but only knowledge can improve my abilities. If you happen to be in my area or know of good places for material or maybe a mentor please drop me a line and let me know. I'm sure I will lean more towards gun holsters, knife sheaths, motorcycle items as well as western wear. I hope to learn all, that all of you know and are willing to share, and would love to make more friends. Feel free to contact me at any of the following contact info.
