Telecaster pick guard with shameless swiping of a iconic bit of tattoo flash. Showing some love and props to my tattoo brethren plus it is rated PG to boot. Members oclack Posted March 19, 2013 Members Report Posted March 19, 2013 Nice! I like it. I just have a simple question... What's the piece mounted on? Looks like a piece of place film. Its that to keep it from stretching too much? I've tried tape (box tape and blue painters tape) and while it helps keep the leather from stretching while I'm tooling, its a pain to remove and ruins the finish on the flesh side. Any suggestions? At the heart of it - IRONY I've always looked at it as "that's the only kind of love some neighbors deserve", which I'm pretty sure is close to the intended meaning. It "usually" doesn't transfer the sticky stuff like packing tape. Here it is finished, well except for the edges. I'll finish them up in a bit. Cyber summed it up, just ironic, iconic tattoo flash.
