I started to learn leather working here in Nov. 2010. Leather working is my favorite. Here is my leather work, www.etsy.com/shop/leathercraftbygrace I wish I can be a leather designer. Does anyone know where and how I can get leather designer license? I am looking for school online but could not find anything about leather design. Thank you in advance! mikesmith648 Report post Posted March 22, 2013 Welcome to the forum. I would ask what you mean by leather designer? I do not know of any licensure required in the US..........but I have been wrong before. Classes are offered by individuals........depending on what your goals are. raysouth Report post Posted March 23, 2013 Hello and welcome to the group. There is a school in North Carolina, that may have some leather programs. Campbell School of Folk Craft or something like that. Should not be to difficult to locate. Would love to go there myself. If I can locate the catalog they sent, I will send you an update, if I still have it. God Bless. Ray

gracejames Report post Posted March 23, 2013 Hello everyone, thank you for your replies and complements on my leathercraft. Hi Raysouth, Since I live in Florida I do not think I would be able to go to classes in North Carolina, but thank you very much anyway. If anyone does learn of something please let me know. Thank you, Grace
King's X Report post Posted March 26, 2013 Hello Grace and welcome to the forum. I looked at your leather work and it is very nice. I hope the Etsy site is working for you. Google: Art Institute. They are a nationwide (I believe) college with disciplines in all art forms. We have one here in Austin, TX. You might be able to find one locally. Good luck and keep up the great work!
