What Finish....over Fiebings Aussie Leather Cream

Recommended Posts

Done some big carvings on 5-6oz W&C leather.....gonna be car seat panels....skirts will be 2-3 oz milled tooling leather.

I have all the leather conditioned with Aussie cream, now I am thinking of putting on a watter repellent finish on......can I put a finish on top of this Fiebings Aussie saddle conditioner.....and what finish would be flexible enough to not wrinkel. peel or do something terrbile funny on car seats, its a show car but seats are still seats....flexing, rubbing and such included.

Thanks up front for lots of ideas and input!!!

James

We treat a lot of our products with that Aussie and Skidmores before it leaves our shop.As both products contain oils and bees wax ,I would say that you will not be able to put much of any thing on top of it..

I agree with itch, I usually put Aussies on last. It does repel water some. I have it on a bag I have had on my bike for about a year with no issues. It was vinagroon with bag kote and then Aussies.
