Members tnawrot2 Posted May 31, 2013 Members Report Posted May 31, 2013 I just bought a Singer 7 class, it doesn't have a tag but I think it is a 7-31. The foot lift is 9/16", I have seen some converted to 1" lift, does anyone know how this is done, and if so where would I get the parts required. Quote

CowboyBob Posted May 31, 2013 Report Posted May 31, 2013 We used to do these all the time, you won't need any parts, just braze in about 1/2" of the slot on the piece of metal on the hand lifter & the when you lift up the foot you'll see where it'll be hitting when you turn the machine over by hand. Then take it apart & grind it so you have clearance. The problem is you need a longer needle like the 1000H which isn't made in a leather point(I'm assuming you want to sew leather) Quote Bob Kovar Toledo Industrial Sewing Machine Sales Ltd. 3631 Marine Rd Toledo,Ohio 43609 1-866-362-7397
