Thanks, Cheryl If it works with your leather interiors now with the treadle, it will work with a servo too. Just need the servo, mounting bolts (if not supplied with the servo) and a belt to fit. So first thing I would do is see if you are happy with the stitching job it does now. If it is doing a good job, then go for the servo. Or do like my mom did. When she wasn't well, I ran the treadle while she did the sewing. Find a neighbor kid willing to work for cookies. Tom Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

So I looked at the three machines I have, two I'm using and this one not so much. I think I would use it a lot if I had a way to walk it around projects. Firstly I am a bit confused as a treadle should run at very low speed with practice. I specialise in treadle machines and find the speed control to be brilliant. If your 27 has a threaded hole below the balance (hand) wheel then it could be fitted with a standard domestic motor or a hand crank. My biggest concern is that the vibrating shuttle in a model 27 was never designed for heavy thread. Tom it's not me not wanting to treadle it, LOL, I want to be able to slow it down.
