Members EmbossingDieCompany Posted June 24, 2013 Members Report Posted June 24, 2013 I had someone ask me to make them a Championship Belt with their logo on it.......so I figured, what the heck, why not. It LOOKS simple enough....... The finished belt is 50" wide and 12" tall in the middle. I just used Marine Corp black dye and resolene as the finish. I made three gold metallic plastic pieces with the logo and attached them to the leather with a pretty strong 3M adhesive (the belt is for show, it's not meant to be worn daily). I designed it by myself based upon the belts other people make/sell. And I drew the pattern by myself. It didn't print out very correctly, but I was able to get everything liked up correctly after printing it off a few times. Cutting it out smoothly was a challenge, and I only made a few mistakes. The edge beveling didn't come out very well. Staining wasn't very difficult since it was black, but the resolene finish didn't come out very well. The eight snaps were easy to do, and I was happy that they I was able to get them all lined up correctly. The biggest pain was the studs outlining the piece......they took FOREVER to put in.....there are over 200. But overall, I was happy with how it came out. Let me know what you think. Here are some pictures: Quote
Members benlilly1 Posted June 24, 2013 Members Report Posted June 24, 2013 The finished product looks good...The logos look great! I could tell it was hard to cut out the pieces. And LOTS of studs. Quote
