I've not had much new to show off recently, it's all been a bit samey so nothing out of the ordinary, until...

I was asked by a piano tuner to make a tub for a tool that was 51mm x 102mm.

Thats small!!! especially when you have hands like shovels!

Anyhow... I know its another tub, but it's sooooo small!!

What do you think?

It's fantastic! The attention to detail is impeccable and I really love the simplicity.

At first, I thought it was for a camera lens. That is until I started to read your description.

I can appreciate the large hands thing. I, too, suffer from Bear-Paw-itis. When doing laundry, I am unable to turn my 11 year old daughter's pants right side out because my hand and forearm won't fit down the leg hole to do so. Funny thing is, I'm not really tall, either. An average 5'11" or so. I kinda makes me feel like this guy...

Will someone please shoot me? ;^)

The way you stitch, Nige, especially where the tops attach to the tubes, is a clear indication that your hands, no matter what their size, have been touched by a magic wand of some kind.

Simply amazing!

Thanks for sharing.

Your fan,

Michelle

I think it's beautiful. You skill in stitching just amazes me. It would be an insult to say it looks machine stitched. I think the world should recognize that there's a new stitch for leather goods. It's called the "Armitage Stitch"Great work, very impressive.
