Hi All,

I've never really shown my work here, but I guess its about time I show you a belt Ive made for myself since my last one has disappeared somewhere and I feel naked while camping without one.

Made from Spanish Veg Tanned Cowhide, 0.3cm and 0.2cm hand sewn together using 1mm Tiger thread. Treated in neatsfoot oil only.

Hi Ski

Great work mate :)

Where did you get the Spanish Veg Tan from?

I ask because I've recently moved to Spain and am having difficulty in locating a supplier over here and was asking in the hope that

you may have bought it from Spain.

Cheers

Hi Zip,

I bought it from a UK supplier and was told they source their leathers from Spain. Give them a try they are very helpful they might point you in the right direction www.theidentitystore.co.uk

As it happens, I'm on the lookout for English leather with no luck so far.

That is a very lovely belt. Excellent work with the basket weave. I wish I could get mine to look as good.

theres a few places you could try...leprevo.co.uk, jwoodleathers.co.uk, jfjbaker.co.uk abbey

as your in manchester - Abbey is in Knutsford, and J Woods are near Skipton, so not too far if you fancy a drive out.

oo, I regularly shop at Abbey but never thought to ask them the source of their leather. Leprevo is good but the ordering system is terrible.
