Members kemalhsb Posted September 28, 2013 Members Report Posted September 28, 2013 Hi there! I'm looking for leather to used as jeans leather patch. It's going to be hot stamped. Which part of cow hide would be best for it? I'm looking for a soft, flexible leather, with 2mm thickness and vegetable tanned. Any suggestion ? This is my current leather patch Quote
Members Glendon Posted October 1, 2013 Members Report Posted October 1, 2013 I think this might be one of those rarer cases where belly leather would be a good choice. Belly leather is usually the less useful part of a hide because it is soft and streatchy. Really you could use any part of the hide for this as even pretty stiff bends would break in over time, but I think bellies would make the most comfortable patches on new jeans. Quote
