Members DS STRAPS Posted October 11, 2013 Members Report Posted October 11, 2013 (edited) Recently was able to score an insane deal. Picked up a Consew 199R and a working 1899 Singer 44 for what I think is an insane price of $450 for the set! Back to my question, anyone happen to know how to source a service manual for the Singer 44? Looked on line and only found the instructions. Thank you Edited October 11, 2013 by DS STRAPS Quote
CowboyBob Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 The 44 is a shorter version of a 31-15 Quote
Members RoyalLeatherDesigns Posted October 11, 2013 Members Report Posted October 11, 2013 DS STRAPS, You can contact Singermania also known as Steve he's a great guy and collects these machines if anyone has this manual he will. I am pretty sure if he has it he will gladly make you a copy. If you need them now you can always try Proleptic.con they do charge so try finding them here first. Good Luck! Ralph Quote
Members DS STRAPS Posted October 12, 2013 Author Members Report Posted October 12, 2013 The 44 is a shorter version of a 31-15 Looking at pics it looks like I have the 31. I contacted singer and they said it was a 44 according to the serial number but looking at the 44 it is shorter than what i have. Quote
CowboyBob Posted October 12, 2013 Report Posted October 12, 2013 The 44 has a 71/2" space to the right of the needle & the 31 has 101/2" Quote
