Members tlauts Posted October 21, 2013 Members Report Posted October 21, 2013 (edited) Completed these for Twisted Fringe as inserted Art work. They are three inches in diameter and made from 8/9 oz. The skull is three layers consisting of a background, the shield piece and skull, then skieved down some 3/4 oz to make the feathers and attached them. Acrylic paint and dye for the coloring with a acrylic satin finish. Edited October 21, 2013 by tlauts Quote

Members NadineS Posted October 23, 2013 Members Report Posted October 23, 2013 Beautiful I love the skull, did you use the white paint from Angelus? Quote
Members tlauts Posted October 23, 2013 Author Members Report Posted October 23, 2013 I would like to try the brand angelus but I used liquitex acrylic with a blending and painting medium. White a touch of burnt umber mix then a wash of burnt umber blend for the skull and feathers. Then some old spectra shade in red and chocolate brown mix for the shield background and the curved bars are a mix cadmium yellow and burnt umber blend. The far background I used eco-flo desert tan. Thank you for the comments. Quote
