Members rosiart Posted December 1, 2013 Members Report Posted December 1, 2013 This didn't turn out quite as expected but I was pleased with the depth of the 3d stamping. I have the Osborne hand press and using the Tandy rams foot with it ( as suggested on the Zeilkovitz site) to do the steampunk stamps worked really well. Thought I would mention it in case others were unaware that it could be used that way, as I was. Quote

Members Paramedic04 Posted December 2, 2013 Members Report Posted December 2, 2013 I really dig how busy the pattern is... definitely not something you see everyday! Quote
Members vhakra Posted December 3, 2013 Members Report Posted December 3, 2013 I like the look a lot! Did you rivet the watch to the band or are those snaps so you can change straps for the watch? Quote
Members rosiart Posted December 3, 2013 Author Members Report Posted December 3, 2013 Thanks paramedic. I used to do rubber stamping and card design so got kind of used to that collage type style for some things. This is the first time I have applied it to my leather projects though. Vhakra, I did rivet the watch to the band. You can get pretty decent watches really cheap these days, so I seem to be developing a wardrobe of watches. I find them a fun project that doesn't take a lot of time or leather. It lets me try out some different things without worrying about the cost too much. If I really mess up, I am only out a little bit of leather and my time. You could use snaps, or maybe even chicago screws if you wanted to reuse the same watch face on multiple bands. Quote
