Members stef73433 Posted December 9, 2013 Members Report Posted December 9, 2013 It really has a purple tint to it.any one else have this? Quote
Members Cyberthrasher Posted December 9, 2013 Members Report Posted December 9, 2013 If it's anything like the Edge-Kote, yeah, I kind of remember that. I gave up on edge specific products a long time ago. I find I get much better and durable edge coloring with regular dye on a properly burnished edge. Quote
Members Red Cent Posted December 9, 2013 Members Report Posted December 9, 2013 No, I have and use the same dye and I don't get the purple stuff. My brown Edge Kote looks like brown liquid shoe polish until it dries. Goes almost clear. Buff after it is good and dry and it looks great. Quote
Matt T Posted December 10, 2013 Report Posted December 10, 2013 Try the Fenice edge paint. Tandy sells it under a rebranded name, but the Fenice logo is still on their packaging. Quote
Members Fat Dog Leather Posted February 9, 2014 Members Report Posted February 9, 2014 Looking for a product to use on chrom. tanned leather to finish the edges that appears to have a buildup to it when dry. I have tried Fiebings Edge coat and the leather Fence Edge paint. Even with multi coats the results are attractive but do not have the build up I am looking for. Any suggestions? Thanks! Quote
Members Red Cent Posted February 9, 2014 Members Report Posted February 9, 2014 This stuff has a consistency of cold syrup. Talk about buildup. http://www.fiebing.com/catalogue/edge-finishes/?product=218 Quote
