King's X Report post Posted January 4, 2014 You are the second person asking about this knife. I own both of them for my collection. The first thing I did was switch out the blade it came with and put on a Barry King blade. Bam! Works like a charm. The action is smooth and works fine....much better than their lower quality swivels. Good luck
Chief31794 Report post Posted January 4, 2014 I use one as well and like King's X, I changed out the blade. Very smooth action, feels good in my hand. I have no complaints with it. Chief
Colt W Knight Report post Posted January 4, 2014 I have the 1/2" version with the straight blade. Works great, I plan on picking up the 3/8" version with the smaller angled blade while they are on sale this month. The blade in mine was actually pretty nice. It came sharp enough to use out of the box, and requires very little stropping to keep in sharp. The bearings are smooth, and I like the weight of the knife. Makes carving straight lines easy. buzzardbait Report post Posted January 4, 2014 I have 2 vintage brass pro knives and 2 aluminum body pro knives and I have Barry King blades. I bought the new small Craftool Pro just because it was on sale. I was impressed, yes by a Tandy tool!. It is smooth, I like the weight, and my blade was perfect straight out of the box.
