I have been looking religiously for a source to buy 1-2oz glazed leather. I cannot for the life of me find anywhere that sells it. I have an old leather coat that is sorta shiny and the leather must be pretty thin to be able to sew nice clean French seams. I am guessing that its about 1oz leather. Thanks for any feedback! Quote

Contributing Member Ferg Posted January 26, 2014 Contributing Member Report Posted January 26, 2014 You may be referring to "Patent Leather", it is shiny but there are many different leathers with a shiny finish. I wouldn't necessarily call them glazed. Not unusual for clothing leather to be 1mm to 1.8mm. Available from many suppliers. Ask for polished finish in lieu of glazed. ferg Quote
