Members jshill Posted January 7, 2014 Members Report Posted January 7, 2014 Hi, my first post hello every one. Had a great time making these its the first time I've sewn an inlay onto the back side of all the straps and main pieces of a gauntlet. For the comfort of the hand it was well worth the extra time and effort. Had a problem during dyeing with my blocker failing to prevent the leather taking in dye on some areas of the cogs but not enough to spoil the piece. I made the pattern off a picture I found off the internet. Thanks for looking, comments and criticism welcome. -Jack Quote

Members VonTannin Posted January 8, 2014 Members Report Posted January 8, 2014 Very nice. Reminds me of the Uruk-hai headpieces for some reason. Great work! Quote
Members jshill Posted January 8, 2014 Author Members Report Posted January 8, 2014 (edited) Hi guys, thanks. Now that you say it Von Tannin because the right gauntlet ends in a fluted panel it does remind me of an uruk-hai head piece!</p> Edited January 8, 2014 by jshill Quote
