joeyrsmith Report post Posted January 12, 2014 Hi gang, After cleaning out the hook/bobbin case of my singer 211g I discovered that it was missing 1 screw of two for the hook needle guard. Part number 201409 from the 240559 hook needle guard. It was the one on the end. They are pan head based. I hand cranked it over a few times and noticed it was deflecting the needle by a micro-millimeter. The screw that was missing was on the outside. Last hole I guess you would say. I took the guard off and cleaned real good and moved the remaining screw to the missing hole, thinking it would keep it in place better. Now the inside hole is minus a screw. SO after all of that, I am asking if someone has one of those laying around that I can buy. All of the hardware places have nothing. Internet searches for parts come up nada.
