I have seen it done before but when I tried at home I couldn't seem to get it to work or leave deep enough impression. dirtclod Report post Posted January 17, 2014 I worked with a guy that took a name stamp and piece of chrome tan and put them in a vice over night i think it was and the impression was in there the next day. I don't know if it stayed that way or not for any length of time because things were sent out as soon as they were done. You can't tool chrome tan. stitchwizzard Report post Posted January 18, 2014 (edited) Sometimes I have to Laser engrave to get a logo or photo in some leathers which turns out pretty cool but I honestly believe that stamped looks so much better. Gump Report post Posted January 29, 2014 Milled vegtan is a soft leather that is supposed to be able to be stamped or tooled.
