TXAG Report post Posted January 21, 2014 (edited) So I bought a piece of 1-7/8" OD PVC to use for a knot mandrel for turksheads...I ended up cutting a short piece off with a hacksaw and then took it to my disc sander to even it out. I took it to the sink to wash the PVC dust off...and ran my finger around the inside to get the dust out...and proceeded to slice my finger open on the inside rim. Boy, did that hurt!!! Way worse than a paper cut! After I stopped the bleeding, I took some Scotchbrite and sandpaper to it to try to remove that sharp edge. Still don't feel like using it for a while..... OUCH! Edit: I had "PVC" in the title, but this stupid forum software thinks it knows better than I do what I'm talking about, so it changed it to "Pvc". Way to go, forum software. silverbullet Report post Posted January 21, 2014 There ya go putting a little bit of yourself in your work again , yea I know smarty pants, seems like I do it too. Bet if ya sharpen it good it would make a hole punch . I've done it best to turn it back and forth with down pressure don't strike with hammer .... For a few holes or rounds it's cheap and is pretty fast too.
