Red Cent Report post Posted February 14, 2014 Hey WLG. I think the top is 207? The 346 looks good. BIG!!! What do you have in the bobbin and what needle do you use?
Red Cent Report post Posted February 14, 2014 This is 277. I might try the 346.
wlg190861 Report post Posted February 14, 2014 HI Red I use a #26 needle, 346 top and 207 thread in the bobbin. I have a CB4500 so I'm not sure all heavy sewing machine is the same. Dan
wlg190861 Report post Posted February 14, 2014 Love the belt, it looks great but I really like the thicker thread. I think you will like it after you try 346 Dan know I did few leather projects 30 some years ago but they were little moc kits and cheap belts, nothing like this. So all this is new to me. Wizcrafts Report post Posted February 20, 2014 You'll want to tighten the bobbin thread tension to get the thread to stay inside the midst of the leather. 346 thread pulls the lockstitches very tightly and may overpower #207 unless the bottom has plenty of resistance. About the thinnest workable leather for #346 thread with 207 on the bottom would be 10 to 12 ounces. Otherwise, you'll have knots visible on one side or the other.
