Modeling Spoon To Remove Marks?

I've seen mention of using a modeling spoon to remove presser foot marks but a search isn't turning up anything, can anyone help with the process?

I think anything smooth and flat can do it. You're just trying to rub out the marks. Depending on the type of leather you would get varying levels of success. I use a bone folder. Same concept.

I use a piece of deer antler. I use a spray bottle to wet the leather. Then I use the piece of antler to rub out the marks and press the stitches. I think a sharpie will work too.

I use a cobblers hammer to flatten the stitch. It removes the press foot marks at the same time. Depending on how wet the leather is the hammer will leave additional marks unless you hit the leather perfectly square with the appropriate amount of force. My holsters are dry or almost dry when I use the hammer.

Modeling spoons tend to be small. I use them to remove stray marks from detailing or setting my lines around the edges of the gun mold. An old toothbrush with a smooth round handle would work too. I still use one to mold my holsters. Or a rub stick.
