Dwight Report post Posted February 27, 2014 Whoa, . . . I saw it over on CAS, . . . thought by the time I got here, . . . you would have something done, . . . Seriously, . . . I don't know if I'd ever do it, . . . though I would like to. I found an old Jumbo stock saddle, . . . probably at least as old as I am, . . . I'm most likely going to spend part of the spring "re-juvenating" it, . . . take it to my cousins later on, . . . check it out. Keep us posted on this one, . . . whenever you do something to it, . . . send us pics, . . . I would love to be able to see the progress. May God bless, Dwight
St8LineGunsmith Report post Posted February 27, 2014 (edited) Dwight Actually the tree has not shipped yet. EDIT: just got a shipped confirmation... YE HAAAAA! Ya I am planning on taking photos of my progresI I can tell you it will be a drawn out project because money is too tight around here to put into leather and hardware all in one purchase. I will just work on a piece at a time. American Saddlery is just down the road and they sell top notch Sho Tan Leather and hardware. I plan on going down there next week to see how much I can expect to spend on skirting and hardware I also saw a Mcclellan saddle tree which I really would like to build one of those also.
