Members BigAlC Posted October 9, 2008 Members Report Posted October 9, 2008 Displayed like that, they is gonna sell. A great piece of work. Nobody is worring about any (maybe - maybe not - I 'aint judgin) faults in the leather work cause the knives are so good and vice verca knives; faults; leather distraction. Great stuff Quote
Members Tina Posted October 9, 2008 Members Report Posted October 9, 2008 Great work om your pad:-) The carvings on your friend knife is truly amazing, Love it. Quote
Members Mattmatt Posted October 10, 2008 Members Report Posted October 10, 2008 Display anything on that and it's gona sell. Even my neighbors of rusted out Pinto would sell on that pad. Quote
JohnBarton Posted October 11, 2008 Report Posted October 11, 2008 Very nice. If I could make one suggestion - and this comes from my days as a traveling showman responsible for displaying cues. I'd make a slight depression in the leather where the knives are supposed to lay so that they would always be in the same place. It makes a big difference when people pick them up and put them back. If there is a "place" to put them then people naturally put it back there. If not then they lay it down wherever. IF you adopt this suggestion then you may want to make the back side slightly higher to make the knife angle toward the viewer a bit more. Just a slight angle will highlight the knife a lot more. HARVEY Posted October 12, 2008 Report Posted October 12, 2008 Johann, I find your flowers/leaves very interesting. Carving them with an inside border line. Gives a whole different effect. Kind of intriguing. Is that the standard way your carve floral? And if so, please post a few more examples like that, if you would. Harvey Los Angeles Quote
