oldskoolbob Report post Posted April 10, 2014 Hi, I found a deal on a Juki 563. From my reading it looks to be a subclass -3 I.E.: no reverse in lieu of extra long feed and thicker thread capacity. I have not found any details on how long the stitch length or thread capacity actually is. Does anyone have the skinny on these 563-3's? Thanks, Robert
CowboyBob Report post Posted April 11, 2014 If I remember correctly the stitch length is around 3 pr in.thread size up to#
Gregg From Keystone Sewing Report post Posted April 11, 2014 (edited) http://www.keysew.com/Webpages/Owners&PartsBooks/Brochures/Juki_LU-562-3_ProductBrochure.pdf I uploaded Juki LU-562/3 and subclass brochure from way back when, specs are listed on the back second page. Two things that nobody may care about at all, but I've found so much information about machines that is not found in their parts or owners books, kind of like here. Also, Abco Sewing Machine Company stamped on the brochure was our previous company name and location between 1977~1980, so I'm sure this brochure is from during that time. oldskoolbob Report post Posted April 11, 2014 Thanks Bob & Gregg, That ad certainly has more info than I found elsewhere. 10mm stitch length. Sweet. The parts book shows the subclass 3 as having no reverse and eight special parts including the hook assembly. I thought the lack of reverse might have been to accommodate a larger feeding mechanism under the bed. Thanks again to both of you for giving your time. jar944 Report post Posted July 11, 2014 This is a old topic but, my 563-3 has a max stitch length of 5 spi (both measured and dial setting)
