Members Allan1972 Posted April 15, 2014 Members Report Posted April 15, 2014 Here is a strap I did using a Craftaid pattern for tooling, really liked how it turned out. I like the saddle tan dye color. I might do the strap again and hand stitch the linning this time as I also like the look of the strap before I did the leather lace. Can you guys spot my initials in the patern on the end of the strap? Allan Quote
Members WyomingSlick Posted April 15, 2014 Members Report Posted April 15, 2014 I spotted the intials when I enlarged the pics. What prize do I win ? Seriously, that axe strap is something to be proud of ! Quote
Members Allan1972 Posted April 15, 2014 Author Members Report Posted April 15, 2014 Thanks Wyoming……. It is about 30 hours of my life in that strap, the double loop stitch run is about 8 feet long(that was fun times). I have made to order 5 straps for people and I can't imagine what I would charge if someone wanted me to make them this one. Allan Quote
Chief31794 Posted May 9, 2014 Report Posted May 9, 2014 The strap is a work of art, very nicely done. Chief Quote
Members Allan1972 Posted May 9, 2014 Author Members Report Posted May 9, 2014 Thanks guys. I get a lot of positive feedback from friends and family, it is nice to get it from total strangers who are familiar with leather work. I will post some more soon. I just don't want to monopolize this topic, so I am spacing it out:) Allan Quote
Members paprhangr Posted October 12, 2014 Members Report Posted October 12, 2014 WOW, that's some good work I'm trying to understand The small piece that is sewed to the adjustment strap, does it hide rivets? Or is sewed it through all 3 layers ? How do you attach it Thanx Quote

The linning is glued on then the lacing marathon;) Quote
