Members paprhangr Posted April 26, 2014 Members Report Posted April 26, 2014 After sewing top to sides, how do you sew the bottom piece so you can fit tight over the pan? Is bottom stapled? Quote
Members billio8 Posted April 26, 2014 Author Members Report Posted April 26, 2014 Use leather 3 mm in the upper part, while leather from 1 mm in the lateral parts, to start stitching and Permare lateral part of the upper use staples that pathologist just finished seam the lower part of the saddle is not sewn but only with staples Quote

Members paprhangr Posted May 1, 2014 Members Report Posted May 1, 2014 (edited) Thanks for sharing, I have only made 4 Bobber seats first three I used the round braid, takes a lot of time. just the braiding took me 12hrs.I bought a industrial machine And learning to use it, on my last seat I wet molded top and bottom, then machined sewed the top and bottom together it' was so quick, 30 minutes to sew. I like machine sewing. They way you sewed your seat using 3 pieces is interesting, I have made a couple bags making the hem on the inside then flip it. Your seat is kinda like that. Members paprhangr Posted May 6, 2014 Members Report Posted May 6, 2014 I can see now your seat is 2 pieces, side piece wraps under to the bottom, pulled tight and stapled. right? guess would only work with plastic pan Quote
Members billio8 Posted May 8, 2014 Author Members Report Posted May 8, 2014 may also work with fund under metalla just stop with glue and will not detract Quote
Members paprhangr Posted May 9, 2014 Members Report Posted May 9, 2014 Not sure I understand what you are trying to tell me. Quote
Members billio8 Posted May 10, 2014 Author Members Report Posted May 10, 2014 if the seat bottom is made of metal can be locked only with leather glue Quote
