How To Attach An Already Made Beaded Rossete To Sheath

Recommended Posts

I have a beaded rossete I bought from Tandy's. How do you attach it to a leather sheath?

Is it a finished sheath or one you are making? Do you have a picture of the sheath?

Stitch it to the sheath using monofilimanet line.

Sew it on. Use a fine needle and thread and make fine stitches with appropriate colored thread. A good thread to use would be a kevlar thread or one of the other super strong threads they have nowdays. There should be no problem making small stitches in between the beads such that they are barely noticable.

I would say nix on using monofilament. Every fisherman knows that monofilament degrades in strength within a few years, or sooner.

LOL Then I realized something. The beaded rosette is possibly made with monofilament line also.

Your right, many of the rosettes are made with monofiliment, espescially the ones from Tandy. Craft stores and beading supply place sell monofiliment as jewelery thread. There is a brand Fireline that is monofiliment line how ever it does not yelloe or breakdown like standard fishing line. Monfiliment is commonly used in beading and attaching thins like rosettes. However as you said fine thread will work also.
