Members goldstamping Posted July 19, 2014 Author Members Report Posted July 19, 2014 The Skiver was sold but the rest are here. We have not done much with it in the past month as we spent that time moving our business in and getting it set up. We will be getting back to inventorying the hardware in the next week or two. We did find a 55 gallon barrel of something called "Moroil Technologies - Leather Compound No. 1". We could not find the product on the companies website, but they manufacture specialty products upon request if needed so I figure this was something they were making for him. It is a really thin oil he was using in a dipping tank (also for sale now as it has been cleaned out) to either condition the leather or soften it up prior to him working on it. Anyway, if anyone knows a bit more about the oil I would appreciate it. I do not want to list it for sale if I can't explain with certainty what it is and does. Thank you.
Members 262leatherworks Posted July 20, 2014 Members Report Posted July 20, 2014 What types of machines do you have left? Do they work and how much?
Members grafiks Posted July 24, 2014 Members Report Posted July 24, 2014 Do you still have anything left? I live close to Charlotte. Please send me an email. Thanks, Bob mtnair@skybest.com
Members goldstamping Posted August 6, 2014 Author Members Report Posted August 6, 2014 I wanted to take a moment and say that we are now back on sorting out the hardware but a there are two more things we have found which may be of use to someone in the business. The first is a large 4' x 4' dipping tank and the second is 55 Gallons of "Leather Compound #1" which was specifically made for this company by MorOil out of Concord, North Carolina. The price was checked this morning and they are charging $8.35 per gallon plus freight for 55 gallons. There is not a name on the dipping tank as we think he had this custom made, complete with wench operate strainer screen.
Members CyLee Posted September 17, 2014 Members Report Posted September 17, 2014 What is the current status please? Trying to live my life with as much passion as my puppy has for her chew toys.
Members goldstamping Posted September 17, 2014 Author Members Report Posted September 17, 2014 What is the current status please? All the equipment except the skivers are still here. Most of all the hardware is still available. A variety of hardware went to a hardware store. Let me what you are interested in. Thanks for the note.
