kikilamour Report post Posted May 15, 2014 I saw a lady do this a short while ago on here but I cannot find the link. She had beaded an entire colour. A friend has asked me to do this but I am wondering if it is worth the amount of time as it will require a good deal of handstitching. I know the Kenyans do it fantastically but it seems amazingly labour intensive I am also involved with a lot of horsey people and there is a lot of demand for beautifully crafted beaded stuff made locally. LilyLionLabyrinth Report post Posted May 23, 2014 Beading like that is insanely labor intensive. Unless you were working with someone with a large budget, it's not usually worth it. The most I ever do at this point is beaded accents. I just sew the beads directly onto thinner leather with good ol' needle and thread, like this: It gives a kind of beaded look, but takes a lot less time. (Even still, that beading on both sides took me at least an hour).
