HC009 Report post Posted June 3, 2014 Hi just wondering if by chance there is someone on here who knows how to paint the nickel double cap rivets - I hate the silver colour of the metal?
DavidL Report post Posted June 3, 2014 you can buy other colours. You may be able to paint it the same way you paint car parts. Strip the paint, spray primer, 2 - 3 coats of paint sprayed on and seal. Not worth the trouble unless you already own a airbrush, primer, paint and finish. Ken Cook Report post Posted June 4, 2014 If you wanted to you could probably have them powder coated. However I think almost anything will have problems with scratches when you set them.
HC009 Report post Posted June 4, 2014 yes, that's what I was thinking too. A bit of an impossible idea.
papaw Report post Posted June 4, 2014 If you power coated them you would have issues because of the build-up on cap and the stem.
electrathon Report post Posted June 4, 2014 Powder would work without problems, except you would have to make a jig to hold them. A LOT of work when you could just buy them instead.
HC009 Report post Posted June 5, 2014 Where can you buy them? I can't find any on the internet.
