Pauls Leather Report post Posted June 3, 2014 Here is my second holster. Fits an M & P Shield. I have it lined on both side inside. applied some acrylic resolene to the background and then dyed it with eco-flow acorn brown. Fits nice and tight and I feel I have improved a little bit more from my first one. Especially on the fit in relation to the gun.
doctorbrady Report post Posted June 4, 2014 Excellent design and carving. A little more work on the edges and finished belt loops and it will be PERFECT.
glockanator Report post Posted June 4, 2014 Just put of curiosity why did you stitch it first then dyed it? I have found that the stitching can really make a holster pop.

Pauls Leather Report post Posted June 4, 2014 Just put of curiosity why did you stitch it first then dyed it? I have found that the stitching can really make a holster pop. Yes, I agree. My first holster has the white stitching and it does look pretty good. However on my first one I noticed when I did the wet molding after dye it sort of faded in some spots, not much but it didn't have that nice dark brown it started out with. It could have been how much water I or the dye wasn't all that dry yet, not really sure. I'm still in the experimental stages, but on the second one I did the wet molding before and then just dyed. I did debate on whether to dye before or after stitch.

Wild Bill46 Report post Posted June 5, 2014 Im Oh So delighted to see this detailed background effect, In the last picture it looks kinda yellow colored and in my opinion - super looking.. As Glockinator was wondering about the stitching though, so was I ? And as Rohn stated The carving looks great too, especially as its colored !!!! Great second attempt there. make more. Pauls Leather Report post Posted June 5, 2014 Thanks all. The part that looks yellow in the pictures isn't as yellow in front of you, but kind of reminds me of stained pine. My wife really liked the look as well.
