AndyL1 Posted June 12, 2014 Author Report Posted June 12, 2014 This is really beautiful bag. Can you share some details about the leather (veg tanned ?) or on the way you dyed it ? From here it looks like veg tanned dyed and then used some sort of antique black gel ???? Thanks! It's made from some very nice veg tan; 6/7 for the panels and gussets, 9/10 for the main flap (skived down on the sides so as not too thick). I used Tandy's Pro Waterstain in Bordeaux and the antiquing is my tried and true sponge dye with black all-in-one. Oiled and conditioned with Neatsfoot and a little Lexol. Sealed with Resolene cut with 50% water. I also cut the Bordeaux stain with water as I think it goes on too dark straight. Members MonicaJacobson Posted June 12, 2014 Members Report Posted June 12, 2014 Very, very nice. I love the coloring job, the inside pockets, and pretty much everything else about it. Quote http://monicajacobson.com/ https://www.etsy.com/shop/TrimGoTrix?ref=si_shop
