austinb Report post Posted July 17, 2014 Hey all! I have attached a photo of something Ive seen, and looking if anyone knows where I could purchase one/get measurements to make one. It looks like a wooden slotted belt runner to place the strap for dyeing. You can see it in the photo attached Anyone know where to get one/measurements for making one? Thanks! Joon1911 Report post Posted July 18, 2014 Looks to me like you could just take a piece of wood and have anyone with a tablesaw run some kerf cuts along it to make the appropriate sized slot to sit your leather into. I don't know that I've ever seen such a jig for sale.
Hi Im Joe Report post Posted July 18, 2014 Why pay someone for that when it would be so easy to DIY.
camano ridge Report post Posted July 18, 2014 (edited) If you want to pay for one I will be happy to make it and ship it to you. It looks like a 2x6 or 2x8 with 4 or 5 different sized slots cut in it. Those slots or kerfs can be cut with an adjustable dado blade on a table saw or with a router. Sand every thing smotth slap some sealer/finish on it if desired and your good to go. You could have various depths as well to accomodate different widths of belts.
