3ntin Report post Posted July 23, 2014 Hi guys, my girlfriend asked me a carved belt, but since she doesn't want a complex one, I was looking for simple ways to decorate it. I found this interesting example: https://www.etsy.com/it/listing/84019596/hand-carved-amber-vine-handcrafted?ref=sr_gallery_18&ga_search_query=leather+belt+carved&ga_ship_to=IT&ga_page=2&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery I was wondering how it is tooled..it seems simply cut and beveled..isn't it? or is it a more complex work? Thanx a lot!! Daniele
barehandcustoms Report post Posted July 23, 2014 http://www.ebay.com/itm/2pcs-Pro-Groover-Stitching-Skiving-Edge-Beveller-Leathercraft-Leather-Tool-/350999288479?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item51b9301a9f Buy a set of these little bevellers. I have done that same design on a lot of journals using them. Just use the little edge bevellers to draw the stem. Darken the stems using whatever method works best for you and then dye the piece. You can buy those small flower stamps for several bucks as well.
Sona Report post Posted July 23, 2014 That might be some stitching groovers... with a guide for the edge and without a guide for the flowers. At least it´s even easier than you thougt.... not beveling at all, just grooving a little here and there an smash some flowers in it
