Members harley45 Posted July 30, 2014 Members Report Posted July 30, 2014 I must not get out much because I don't think I've ever seen something like this, but I do have a request for an own pancake style but instead of slots or wrap around belt loops he wants clips. Anyone ever do this or have a pic? I'm kinda at a loss and maybe I need to get out more!! Quote

Members chiefjason Posted July 31, 2014 Members Report Posted July 31, 2014 I just did a mag holder that way. I'll likely not do another double mag holder. During molding the leather usually wants to turn up a bit on one end. I even widened the mouth for the mags a bit to prevent it, but still got a bit. That made the back clip hard to attach. I also did not like the fact that I felt like it would need to be broken in more to work. I'm fine with a break in period. But this one just felt like it would work fine, but not before it was broken in a bit. I want to know it's going to work when it goes out. Single clip mag holders work very well for me. It was getting both clips to align properly after molding that seemed to be the problem in the double clip mag holder. So, if you do it keep an eye out for that. Quote
Members Red Cent Posted July 31, 2014 Members Report Posted July 31, 2014 Chief, I usually do not sew up the middle on double pouches. Quote
Members Red Cent Posted July 31, 2014 Members Report Posted July 31, 2014 Harley,a retired LEO loves this. You can raise the clips a hole or so and wear it outside the belt. I told him that this was a prototype and if he liked it I would make him another good'n. He won't trade and he says it is fine like it is. Quote
