Members Nuttish Posted August 8, 2014 Members Report Posted August 8, 2014 I'm looking for a burred steel drive wheel for a Fortuna style machine. My stone wheel is clogged and doesn't appear to have been adequate to feed heavier pieces even when it was new. Also looking for presser feet or will pay someone willing to measure, trace, and photograph theirs so I can machine them. Any leads appreciated. Thanks. Quote
Contributing Member Ferg Posted August 9, 2014 Contributing Member Report Posted August 9, 2014 Make sure your unit is actually a true copy of the Fortuna. Most skiving machines other than Fortuna are nearly identical but do not have the same type of presser feet or the feed wheel. My Cowboy has the serrated metal wheel. Easily cleaned. ferg Quote
Members Nuttish Posted August 9, 2014 Author Members Report Posted August 9, 2014 It's from the 50s or 60s and looks absolutely dead identical to older Fortuna's I've seen, but how would I know? The manual doesn't show dimensions, not that Fortuna manuals do either. I'm stumped. Quote
Members harley 69 Posted August 21, 2014 Members Report Posted August 21, 2014 I have probably what you are looking for and I can take photos of it for you. The machine is a true copy of the Fortuna and the brand is a Nohab with a roller feed pressure fot, it splits everything. Pär Sweden Quote
