Rossr Report post Posted October 11, 2014 Hi Folks, I have been toying around with making custom stamps. I know that magnesium setups are used. But I am wondering how the polyurethane embossing plates/stamps are being made. I have considered Cnc engraving/routing machines but seems like there is a simpler way they are being made. A resist is photographically applied to the base metal used, then acid etched to remove the background material. Makes nice clean images, but no 3D effect.
