Silverctack Report post Posted November 14, 2014 Hello, I'm interested in trying to make my own clicker cutting dies. I make tack on a regular basis, and cutting 10oz leather everyday almost all day is really hard on my body. I have hundreds of patterns I need dies for, and as you may know they don't come cheap! So my question is, have you made your own dies before, and if so, do you have any tips I can follow. Here is a link to the process I'd like to follow. http://www.imajeenyus.com/workshop/20120215_diecutting/index.shtml I have someone that can laser cut the wood, my question is what type (thickness and height) of steel rule will I need and any other necessary tools to make this happen. Northmount Report post Posted November 15, 2014 There is an old thread here on making your own. Fellow was using bandsaw blades. He never came back with any posts with experience or pics. Tom

glockanator Report post Posted November 16, 2014 We made one at work out of a band saw blade and plywood. Just a simple rectangular shape for lead door bags. It did not work out all that well.
