Christmas Came Early!

It's been forever since I last posted but I had to share photos of my new maul set from Beary Stiles.

Rosewood and maple 15 and 20 oz. mauls, hammered end caps, and matching stand. My pics don't do them justice, the workmanship is perfect. I can't say enough regarding the quality, 1st class in every way.

Many, many thanks to Beary for the excellent job he did. I am thrilled to own these and plan to put them to great use now that I am not traveling constantly with work.

Just wanted to mention something I noticed on the photo of the stand only, there appears to be a blemish on the top at the left of the stand. I am not sure what happened when I took the pic, but there is no flaw in the wood.

I just did not want anyone to think that the quality received from Beary was less than 1st class.

did you have any problem in ordering these off his web page and did it take a long time in getting them I was just wondering because I was interested in trying to order one but got cold feet when I saw some bad reviews when some could keep in touch with him thank you

Yes, the order details were worked out through his web email address bearmauls@yahoo.com. I will admit I had the same apprehensions but our communication was good, although it did take a few days between replies. My order took about 45 days to get to me.

The craftsmanship is excellent and was well worth the wait. Ed delivered as promised and I have no reason to think he would not do the same for you.

tomt ,,, I'm Ed the"BearMan",,, I'm the originator behind the BearMauls,,, & lots of other tools. Ed Stiles (Bearys long time friend) and Beary have been making the BearMauls & leatherburnishers for quite some time now. The business has grown to the point to where Ed quit his full time job to make the tools Full time now. So the wait times will be coming down,, & the communications will be a lot better. Being the perfectionist that they are,,, Ed & Beary take thier time to make sure every tool is as perfect as it can be. I am still involved with some of the more Custom tools,,, or to help with design ideas sometimes. So, if there have been any communication concerns in the past,,, there wont be any problems now.

I have 3 mauls and 2 leather burnishers all bought separately over the years, no complaints about product or service, some of the best tools out there.
