Mockingbird Report post Posted November 25, 2014 How do you install snaps and short rivets onto thicker leather? I'm guessing after punching a round hole the leather is thinned somehow? Any tips/tricks is much appreciated

silverwingit Report post Posted November 26, 2014 Depending on the aggregate thickness you are working with, regular "rapid rivets," even long-posted ones might not be long enough. Look into "tubular rivets," which can be had in longer lengths. Good luck, Michelle
Bolt Vanderhuge Report post Posted November 26, 2014 I get the leather wet then use my stamp handle and my poly mallet to compress the leather. The end you normally hit with the mallet is the perfect size for line 24 snaps.
