Members novaroper Posted December 3, 2014 Members Report Posted December 3, 2014 well I just got a chandler c267 and sews great and has same size bobbins as my juki563 what is the big diferance besides how the bobbin loads not sure which one to keep Quote
Members shoepatcher Posted December 3, 2014 Members Report Posted December 3, 2014 I would keep the LU563 Juki. Vey good machine, parts readily available, reverse and nice big bobbin. Plus Juki is a major name in sewing and the machine is proven. Is the Chandler and Adler 267 with the chandler name on it? glenn Please send us pics of each machine. glenn Quote
Members novaroper Posted December 3, 2014 Author Members Report Posted December 3, 2014 the chandler has same size bobbin and reverse and I thought chandler was made by adler and adlers were made in germany but it says made in japan on the back so kind of cunfused about that Quote
Cobra Steve Posted December 4, 2014 Report Posted December 4, 2014 Adler used to distribute machines with the Chandler name on them back in the late 60's and 70's just like shoepatcher implied. They are no longer in business, but Juki is. I would stick with the Juki. Steve Quote Thank You Steve Tayrien Leather Machine Co., Inc. 2141 E. CowboyBob Posted December 4, 2014 Report Posted December 4, 2014 They both are correct, keep the Juki feet & other accessories are a lot easier & lower priced for it because it is a very common machine. Members boilernspector Posted December 5, 2014 Members Report Posted December 5, 2014 I have a Chandler C267....and the manual. However, I can not locate any info on what this machine is capable of sewing or what needles and thread to use. I would like to be able to sew two pieces of leather together that are 4-5 oz ea. I've been trying using #69 nylon thread but it sheds at the needle eye and breaks... Quote

I was finally able to restore my mothers machine but I haven't been able to locate a manual for it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Quote
