Members guybell Posted December 27, 2014 Members Report Posted December 27, 2014 Just got this in the mail today. $150 on Amazon and works like a charm. After some problems with snaps on my last project I did some research and this tool sounded like an affordable answer. Quote
Members thepaul Posted January 22, 2017 Members Report Posted January 22, 2017 Does this also set Line 20 snaps? I haven't been able to find any site answers on this? Thanks. Quote
Members NCArcher Posted January 22, 2017 Members Report Posted January 22, 2017 Yes it does. You have to buy the dies separately. Not cheap though. I have the large snap set and an eyelet set. I'll get the line 20 set when I get a spare bit of cash. https://www.amazon.com/Hoover-Press-N-Snap-Tool-Replacement-Socket/dp/B019JC2QK6/ref=pd_sbs_469_10?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=ZG93ZE5GWQCPZ0N06324 https://www.amazon.com/Hoover-Press-N-Snap-Tool-Replacement-Eyelet/dp/B019JCGBWU/ref=pd_sbs_236_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=JJE97JDK552G4P2D1V1F Quote
bikermutt07 Posted January 22, 2017 Report Posted January 22, 2017 What size are the shafts of your dies? Quote

Members HBAR Posted January 22, 2017 Members Report Posted January 22, 2017 (edited) I have a kick press and of course the tandy snap setters as well. I just got the snap setter a month ago and love it. It sets snaps so much cleaner. Money well spent. (although I dont use alot of snaps in my business) I do use the pull the dot snaps and bought that extra die as well. Edited January 22, 2017 by HBAR Quote

Members supercub Posted January 22, 2017 Members Report Posted January 22, 2017 I bought one of these years ago after messing up many snaps with the old hammer and anvil setters. It was money well spent. They also make a die set for "pull the dot" snaps which works well. Quote
