Members Twisted 66 Posted January 15, 2015 Author Members Report Posted January 15, 2015 I used tandy dyes..started with a base of fiebings tan, then eco-flo range tan and added some fiebings mahogany for shading and contrast. Quote

Members Pkay Posted January 17, 2015 Members Report Posted January 17, 2015 how are you finishing this to the seat base, love the carving. Are you using the 'double loop kangaroo lacing' for decoration or strength ?? Quote
Members Twisted 66 Posted January 17, 2015 Author Members Report Posted January 17, 2015 I was planning on stitching the sides onto alligator embossed leather with the double loop kangaroo for strength and then wrapping it under the pan and stapling it. Quote

Members MMLeathercraft Posted February 6, 2015 Members Report Posted February 6, 2015 I'm planning on recovering a 2up mustang seat i found in a dumpster. I want to redo the foam because it absorbed some of the wonderful aromas of its resting place. Did you use a kit with precut foam, or buy the sheets and mold them yourself? I'm thinking about using memory foam over polymer gel, but it's all just research at this point. I'm planning on recovering a 2up mustang seat i found in a dumpster.
