Mark Peters Report post Posted March 4, 2015 (edited) I've carried a swiss-tech combination pliers/screwdriver on my key ring for quite a while. I've been wanting to try wet forming, and thought making a fob/sleeve would be good practice before working on a larger project. If I was to do this again, I think I would incorporate the strap into the back piece rather than riveting on a separate piece. I also need to work on getting my rivets to set squarely, instead of sliding off to one side. Edited March 4, 2015 by Mark Peters

AndyL1 Report post Posted March 4, 2015 Nice one! If your rivets are getting wonky could be they are too long for the leather. I usually nip the post down with diagonal cutters if that's the case.
Mark Peters Report post Posted March 4, 2015 Thank you. When you cut down the post do you use something to then flare the end?
Halitech Report post Posted March 16, 2015 anytime I've had to cut my rivet posts, I use my scratch awl to open the hole back up to as close to round as possible. The other option since you are already sewing, tack the strap with a bit of glue then continue your sewing right up around the top
Mark Peters Report post Posted March 16, 2015 Thank you. That is certainly something to consider going forward.
AndyL1 Report post Posted March 17, 2015 What Halitech said or I just use the same cutters and lightly squeeze it back into shape.
