rundogdave Report post Posted March 9, 2015 My latest attempt at an avenger style holster and double mag holder. The belt slot on the back turned out a little loose. Should have used a smaller piece to form it. It took me several tries to make the mag holder. I think I can still improve on it. Not sure about the belt clip being riveted on. Think I'll try sewing on belt strips on the next one. As always, all constructive criticism is welcome.
JLSleather Report post Posted March 9, 2015 It looks like the leather itself could be upgraded. As for the belt loop, I like to see them WIDER. I'd move the slot clean to the edge of the pistol.
chiefjason Report post Posted March 9, 2015 As for the belt loop, I like to see them WIDER. I'd move the slot clean to the edge of the pistol. Here is my recent experience FWIW. I just built an avenger for my Sig P238. Cute little gun needs a cute little holster, right? Well, there is precious little real estate to work with there. I use a gun belt that is one layer of 15 or 16 oz leather. Thick and pretty stiff. Talk about a pain to get that holster on! Mainly because the slot and belt loop are almost too close. Now, I could not have made them much further apart. But just adding an explanation to the above.
