Members Mrs Ogre Posted March 10, 2015 Members Report Posted March 10, 2015 Hey guys! I made a commission for a friend who is a member of the Royal Hussars regiment. He wanted his capbadge carved into a leather hip flask cover, and here it is! I have only been carving and tooling leather for about 4 months or so I know I have a long way to go, but I'm pretty happy with the result. This was finished in neats foot oil. Quote
Members JAZZMAN Posted March 12, 2015 Members Report Posted March 12, 2015 Hey thats pretty nice, i too have only just started out with tooling and i am finding it to be a lot harder than it looks, you seem to be off to a great start keep it up. Quote
Members Wild Bill46 Posted March 13, 2015 Members Report Posted March 13, 2015 Yes, I think the same way. Your off to a good start. Practice, practice, practice. is the name of that game ! But in the final analysis its worth the effort. As your begining to see. I am a student of this art too ! Don't guess I ever get as good as I want to be. Still, its something to strive for. Hang in there, --- Wild Bill46 Quote
