carr52 Report post Posted November 18, 2008 It's suppose to be a pirate with a rag wrapped around his head. It just doesn't look right to me. Maybe the lower jaw needs to be bigger. It's the first time I've ever tried to draw one. I opened the mouth up a little on the second one to make the teeth easier to work. Any and all comments welcomed. Or should I say needed. tashabear Report post Posted November 18, 2008 I agree. Your pirate doesn't have much of a chin. Have you Googled skull images? This might help:

Here it is with a little more. I kept the same eyes cause I wanted him to have an angry look. The first drawing with the new chin came out looking like Peter Fonda so I redid it and heres what I have now. Tom
mendedbowl Report post Posted November 18, 2008 Peter Fonda's skull! cool just kidding tom, it's looking better, but one thing i noticed is the teeth area looks a little flat. imagine the teeth running around a very small cylinder. look at tasha's skull picture and see how just below the eyes and nose, the skull shape looks like a cylinder down to the chin. (or if you have children like mine, when they bite each other just look a the bite mark...that bite curve is your cylinder shape) follow the curve of that cylinder with your teeth and the grin won't be so wide. and i think that would make it look more menacing too. ken

I even had one that looked like Jay Leno's chin. Tom

Twist them to match the jaw and you should have it.I would make the head rag cover the whole top of the head , of course this is just my most humble opinion.WINDY Edited November 19, 2008 by Windy

When you say match the jaw line it does give him a more sinister look. Thanks again. Tom
