But I do watch you videos on braiding. Over and over and over. What weight leather did you use for your guitar strap? Thanks, the guitar strap is made form 9/10 ounce Hermann Oak, the Back piece is split to ~ 6 oz and the front area where the button hole is is skived to ~ 6 oz to make them attach better an easier. Members LeatherJR Posted April 11, 2015 Members Report Posted April 11, 2015 Thanks for the info. I have made a couple for a friend of mine as practice and he likes them about 5 oz. he thinks the thicker ones are too stiff and do not form to his shoulder. Since he wanted something soft I made one out of 5-6 oz Latigo as a joke and he loved it. Go figure. Quote

I use Aussie on the front and back, heat it till it liquifies, then wipe off the excess and the strap very supple. I used lighter leather until I found this stuff. I make a lot at 6/7 but I've changed over to the heavier. It really drapes well on the shoulder. Chief Quote "Life's too short to carry ugly leather"
Members Rohn Posted April 11, 2015 Members Report Posted April 11, 2015 Chief, nice work again. Everything looks great. Do you line your holsters and if so what do you line them with? Quote Rohn(John 8:32) And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (KJV)

Rohn, I do line most of them, this one is lined, and when I line them I normally use pigskin splits. Thanks, Chief Quote "Life's too short to carry ugly leather"
